Applied TRV for Spouse from India online

I have helped my wife to apply TRV online from India. I have provided all the supporting documents that are required.

Applied on Feb 22nd
Status: opened on the same day and got the email notification within 2 minutes

Thats it. NO email, NO status change from then


Please help..
I am on work permit, my PR file status is in progress now, I have provided medicals upon request..

Is your wife housewife ? If yes, what all documents did you submit ? My wife is also planning to apply for Canadian visitor visa and I am going to support her financially for our vacation trip. I am on H1B visa in US and she recently got approved for H4 visa.

I suggest you to apply for Canadian Visit visa after she get landed in states.. someone told me that its a bonus mark..

Yes, my wife is a homemaker.

I had to show 15 lacs INR and 20K Canadian Dollars, t4 forms, payslips, assets and fixed deposits, invitation letter with notary.

P.S, my wife did not receive visa yet, so my documents could be wrong..

It wont be possible to apply for Canadian visa after she comes to US. We have planned Canada trip, a week after she comes to US, so she will have to apply from India.

Well, the processing takes more than a week, so she would have to apply from india.

Also ask other people in the forum, but I believe processing done through vfs is accurate and fast..I should have done that too..
