Hello Members,
We have applied for PR under FSW last year and now my company wants me to go Canada on work permit
Is it matter of concern.. since it shows dual intent

I heard that sometime Visa office or POE may deny visa or entry to dependents (in my case my spouse and kid)

Any thoughts... appreciate your feedback

Hi, it shouldn't be a matter of concern. Dual intent is allowed per CIC:

About the visa denying, it shouldn't be an issue bringing your spouse and kid. It depends of each case I guess...

Thank you ELAR,
I agree with you about Dual Intent and POE entry

While doing research on net I found that dependents were denyed entry
Reason - not enough proof to show intreset back in home country, but to my surprise in one case they have refused POE entry to 18months old kid and 4yrs old with same reason
well who on this earth will leave their child alone in any country...

In my case I can show property for my wife, but what I can show for my 7 yrs old kid... he will go whereever we go atleast till the age of 18 :)

I am bit afraid here, if I leave from USA to Canada I have to shipped all my belongings and if at all my dependents got denial then the issue starts

Hope to hear more thoughts here ...

I had similar case
Today got work permit under Intra company transfer (Senior managerial position)
My PR is also applied and is in recd status since july 2009.

I went to Buffalo , as name suggest they really work very slow, but i got my permit after 2 hrs wait, I reached there at 7.30am and they took my application at 8am and finally gave our pp at 10am

IO did not ask anything about my PR...
Still waiting for any news on my PR case..

Good luck
