applied online through CIC from UAE after 1 dec

hi guys i applied on 1 dec online through CIC nd i have given my biometrics on same day but haven't received any mail for medical does anyone have any idea that how much more time it will take?
 
Hey bro, apparently, medicals are not mandatory. So if the Canadian Embassy are satisfied with all the documents you have provided and everything seems to be in order, they'll directly request you to submit your passport. How long it takes them to do that mainly depends on your nationality and where you're applying from.

I'm a Pakistani study permit applicant and I also applied online through CIC on November 7. I did my Biometrics on November 10 in the Abu Dhabi VFS VAC and I haven't yet received any updates on myCIC since my 'Biometrics were received'. I did, however, receive an e-mail yesterday which said that:

'Your application has been updated. Please sign in to your MyCIC account and check your application status and messages for more information.'

I logged in to myCIC and there has been no update on my application status there. So I am super confused as to what's happening! My classes start on January 7. You guys out there think I have a chance of getting my visa approved on time? Oh and how likely am I to be requested for a Medical?
 
even i received a same mail from them nd there seems no update in my application though. my classes starts from 13 jan i hope we both will get our visa on time.

You should have applied earlier because ave is 8wks and I don't think VO will mind your classes starting date as it is already stated in the website that processing time in UAE will take 8 wks average.

I think 8 weeks time is for paper application and Online application are always faster than paper application.

processing time in days UK is also included in this have a look
 
I did check this but its states general time like it does not mention whether this are also applicable to online application.


Online application should be processed bit fast than paper application as seems in most of the chc offices.
