Im hoping somebody here has similar situation,we applied online for my parents to visit us just for 3 mos,
But we got confused with the supervisa and visitors visa, we indicate in our letter and application that we want the supervisa but theyre only staying for 3 mos, we sent the application april 3, and got a request of passport 2 days after, then yesterday we got a messaged saying the application was approved and passport is ready for pick up!
My concern is,first,we found out ( too late) that supervisa requires 1 yr with 100,000 insurance and that will cost an arm and a leg, and its a completely waste of money coz they wont be staying here for 2 years, i know we made a mistake and shouldve learn more about the supervisa information:(
My question is, does anybody applied for supervisa and granted visitors visa instead bec theyre only staying for short period of time?

We had that happen to a few of our clients but then they applied again and got their super visas.
As far as the medical insurance, yes you are required to buy insurance for $100,000 for one year, but if they don't stay here for the whole year and didn't have any claims then you would be able to get the remaining amount back. Also, one of the insurance companies now offers a monthly payment plan for the super visa, so in this case you would end up paying only for a few months of insurance (again if there were no claims.)
