applied from Japan, now moving to the uk or canada on a tourist

I am a Uk citizen and my sponsor is Canadian. We are both in Japan , and we initiated our application form here. The office is in the Philippines.

Our employment contracts are expiring soon and I still have not heard back from immigration. What would happen to my application if I moved back to the UK, or I went to Canada on a tourist visa whilst waiting for my application to go through?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Your app would continue to process in Manila. Make sure that you update your address with CIC so that your COPR goes to the right place.

If you were to be called for an interview (which is very unlikely unless you guys have some big red flags), you would need to return to Japan.
