Applied From Canada - urgent

Hi,
I have applied for PR from Canada in december 2008. Canadian Consulate asked me two documents: 1) proof of fund 2) 2008 tax return.

Can any one here tell me: for proof of fund should I just show bank statement or anything else is needed (as I am graduate student here).

And 2ndly, for tax return what I need to show them? notice of assessment or the tax document that I sent?

I got their mail after 1 year. So am I in final stage? Do they ask me for IELTS test or anything else? How long does it take from this point.

I also applied for PR. They asked me the same documents but more specifically.


1) proof of fund
Ans: you will need bank statement for the whole year of the year that you worked. If you have never worked then you need the past 18 months of your bank statement.
2) 2008 tax return.

You need to show them notice of assessment and T4 the tax document.

If they don't ask you anything else beside those two. They will probably not going to ask you for IELTS.

I got any interview in buffalo next month and I have to bring those documents along with me as well. Hope this will help you.

Actually I am getting scholarship and scholarship amount is not mentioned on notice of assessment. In this case do I need to give explanation or they will simply understand. I can provide notarized T4 slips.

They didn't ask me for anything specific. Thats why I am bit worried. Its bit hectic to send these documents again and again which I already sent .

Are you done with medical?

I saw your post here regarding the letter from canada immigration asking for proof of funds and 2008 tax return.
I got the same letter recently, what did you do? what documents did you send finally?

hey,
I sent T4 slips. And for proof of funds, I sent bank statement, a letter from HR. And yes, I have got letter regarding medical examination.
