Applied for work permit with spousal PR

Hi,

I had applied for open work permit for my spouse along with her PR under family sponsorship. We got an email from IRCC on 7th September that they have received our application on 14th August.After this email there is no communication we have received on work permit. Helpline number also has a standard message that it takes 87days and we are now on 95 days. Also my wife’s visitor visa will expire on 9th Jan 2019.

Any suggestions??

Continue waiting. OWP can take 4 months.

Oh ok.But why I am not able to link my application online.it has been more than 3months my application was received?
Also do I need to extend my visitor visa or I come under implied status since have applied for PR?

PR application by itself does not give you implied status, OWP application on the other hand give you the implied status if and only if the application is not returned .
To be on the safe side, apply to extend your visitor visa to maintain a valid status (you can withdraw the application if OWP is granted)

On July 9th.

But good news is I just linked my application to cic account.

I believe others have been able to link the OWP.

You have valid status as a visitor until Jan 9th and the OWP should arrive before then, so there is no need for a visitor extension.

Seriously, don't bother with the visitor extension. The only reason to do it would be if the OWP app is returned.

Don't know about linking the OWP app. There are a few threads on it if you have a look around the Family Class section of the forum.
