Applied for TRV inside Canada but had to travel

I applied for TRV (work permit) from inside Canada, but had to travel outside Canada. Now, what is the process for requesting TRV to be issued from local visa office. Any help is greatly appreciated. @legalfalcon could you please let me know. Thanks.

Additional info: I am in the travel exemption category and will apply for authorization letter as well.

You have to inform IRCC, when you are in Canada, you only receive a work permit, however, when you are outside Canada you will also need a visa, if you are not form a visa exempt country.

You have to apply online through your CIC account, there is no separate process to get a visa from the local office. They internally assign the file to the local office once they finalize. How long has it been since you applied for the work permit?

Thank you @legalfalcon . I am not from a visa exempt country. So. I should inform IRCC via a webform and IRCC would issue me a visa from my current country. Please correct me if I am mistaken. Is this the process? Or I would need to apply again for the TRV and withdraw previous application. I am not sure. Thanks again.

It will depend on whether you applied for a new WP, change of conditions, extension etc. Either way let IRCC know and based on your situation you will be informed. If you already have a valid visa, you may be able to travel with a new WP and visa on your passport.
