It has been about 3 months since I sent my application in for my Permanent Residency and I am thinking of moving to Quebec. I currently live in Ottawa, and have been since I arrived here 5 years ago. Is there a problem to move from one province to another while my Permanent Residence application is being processed?

Thanks.

Yes, if you have a Quebec address, CIC will request a CSQ from MICC before they will continue to process the application.

Thanks for the responses. So you are saying that there will be delays with processing my application if I move from one province to another? What is CSQ from MICC?

I doubt it PMM,

I moved to Quebec immediately after filing my application. CIC did not ask anything from me. I have got PPR last week.

CIC will only evaluate your qualifying experience when the application was filed.

Thanks

Did you change your address as well?

That was probably an oversight by the VO. This isn't about qualifying experience, it's about the fact that Quebec has a separate immigration program... Have you actually landed yet? This could be a problem when you try to land...

CSQ is requirement for people planning to immigrate to Quebec.

I am an Inter company Transfer I do not need CSQ. There are many consultants from US who travel to Quebec for work none of them need CSQ
Not everyone needs CSQ. CIC could have rejected my WP for Quebec had that been the case

Once you have qualifying experience you can move where ever you want.
People Go back to their home countries and their applications continue to be processed, moving to Quebec does not change any rules for you.

I guess we are over complicating a simple issue.

No, you should read the OP's original post, s/he is apply for permanent residence, not a work permit.

Yes, if you have a Quebec address, CIC will request a CSQ from MICC before they will continue to process the application.

From my understanding the CSQ is only if you are working in Quebec. If you are working in Ontario, but live in Quebec I dont think that applies.
I have the same situation I recently moved to Quebec (well Gatineau, which is 5 mins from Ottawa) but I am working in Ottawa.
