Applied for OINP now applying for restoration

Hi ,

maybe someone could give me some insight into my situation. I sent off my documents to OINP but i am still within the 90 days to apply for restoration of status. I want to send my documents this week preferably tomorrow as i have everything in order, my question is - i am restoring as a visitor which would give me 6 months. I currently have the amount needed for OINP sitting in my account but for restoration it also asks me to have at least $6000 - what i had done is I had included a letter from my parents stating they would be supporting me while I stay for the extra 6 months to travel around canada and they will ensure I leave by the leave by date with back up documentation . The $6000 would be separate from the amount that I currently have.

My question is if the IO sees the lump sum amount in my account and also see that my dad says he will be supporting me , will that trigger some questions? and in my letter explaining should I also mention that I got the PT from Ontario? I just dont want them to think i will stay beyond the leave by date just cause I have started applying for PR through OINP.

Please let me know what you think, any words are helpful.

I think that will be fine. What I would do is exactly as you have suggested, mention that you have got PT from Ontario and you have chosen to take the PNP path. I would also write to assure them that throughout the course of working in Canada you did not get much of an opportunity to see the country and after working and collecting some money, you plan to see other Provinces and see what they have to offer tourists. Also mention that you will be fully supported by your parents throughout the course of your travels.

This will achieve two things:

1) Assure the IO that your intentions are genuine and that you will be patronizing local businesses
2) Extend the time for processing of your application.

I had originally written that I had applied through the PNP then I deleted it from the application , so you think I should still mention it but say regardless of where the application stands I will leave by the leave by date?

Yes, demonstrating your truthful intentions to the IO and may be rewarded at times. This also gives the IO a macro picture of your true intentions. I mean think about it, no one applies for restoration of status unless they have a macro goal of immigration in mind.

alright I think I will add it then lol cause it would make more sense to them as to why I have that much money in my account and then on the other hand saying my parents would support me while i travel. I did mention a few historical places I would like to see and my dad has also guranteed he would make sure I leave by the leave by date in his letter.

I hope so lol I know for the FSW Stream they said it takes much longer to recieve the AOR. so fingers crossed they process it faster in 2016.
