Applied for citizenship but need to go to Canada ASAP!

Hi everyone so my story is
I am a U.S citizen born to a canadian citizen mother. We moved to Greece when I was 13 years old in 1994.
Because of the situation here in Greece I want to relocate to Toronto because I have family there. I have applied for citizenship in February 2012 and I'm still waiting, but my aunt that owns her own dry cleaners offered be a temporary job at her store just until I get my citizenship, and then I'll be able to search for a job that I have experience on.
My question is if I can relocate right now to Canada and work there legally?
Am I able to get a temporary passport?
Can my first cousin sponsor me so I can go and work?

1. If your mother is a Canadian Citizen (why did you not apply) for a Canadian nationality back then?

2. One of your parent being a Canadian (i.e. in your case your mum), i believe you may be able to get Canadian citizenship without much problem.

I suggest throw your below mentioned question to Leon. He is the senior most member here and quite experienced.
