Hi All,

I applied for AINP Nomination in October 2009 and waited. My approved came on May 07, 2010 but my wedding was already planned for May 29, 2010 and I got married on that day. I am in the process of collecting my PCC from Indian embassy in US, as well as FBI and State certificates. I will be applying to CIC when I receive all documents.

My questions:

1) Can I add my wife to the CIC application when I apply (eventhough AINP nomination letter mentions only my name)?
2) If not, what's the best solution for my scenario?

Would really appreciate your responses. Thanks.

Talk to AINP about adding your wife to the nomination (whether it's needed or possible). You can not leave your wife off the PR application whether AINP mentions her or not. If you leave her off, it would be considered misrepresentation and you would not be able to sponsor her later as well as it may even cost you your own PR.

Hi All,

My friend told me about AINP and I got really interested. Please can someone tell me what I can do to get nominated. I also understand I must get a job in Canada first. How do I get one?

Thank you. :)

Hi Ogua,

Here are some job search websites:

http://www.canadavisa.com/career_zone/canadian-immigration-job-search.htm
http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/
http://www.eluta.ca/
http://www.monster.ca/
http://www.workopolis.com/

Be prepared for an uphill battle. Most employers do not jump at the chance to give a job offer for someone who may get their immigration a year from now and at that point may or may not come and work for them. You might have some convincing to do.

If you want to go through AINP, you would have to get a job in Alberta but other provinces also have provincial nominee programs that work the same way. You can find all the PNP's at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/apply-who.asp
