@uppalmp I applied to Interactive Media Management 1 year program. But I also have acceptance from Global Business Management. Last but not the least I have also applied at NAIT and waiting for decision. My main concern now is whether I can switch to a 2 year course and how to extend study permit.

10th - 83%
12th- 69.9%

Bsc. Multimedia & Animation (1st Class with 74%)

IELTS - 8 bands

2012 to 2014 April - Worked as an arts teacher for a NGO.

@rahul. If ur going on a 2 year course, u can go on your current student permit of 1 year and just before 3 months of finishing ur 1 year program, you cann apply for extension of your student permit

1. Can I show my 2 year acceptance letter at point of entry from another institute to get a 2 year work permit.

2. For extension what exactly do I need to show. Proof of funds, tuition etc.

3. Can extension be cancelled, cause then I am in deep trouble.

Pls if the course on which u are granted sp is to be changed u will need to inform cic. That is when u can show such letter at point of entry if not do not try to show 2 yrs course LOA when u are granted sp on 1 year course.

Not to worry about. If ur intending to apply for a 2 yr program, make sure you inform the officials at the port of entry. Not to wory about, these officials are friendly and they genuinely understand ur concern..if possible, they can extend ur student permit right away or else they might say to follow with your current permit and extend ur visa 90 days before ur sp expires..

please help me. i want to know regarding the job prospects after doing financial planning from GBC, will join gbc this sept. i want to do masters from a good univ later on, will i be eligible to apply.
ive completed 3yrs of bcom from univ of Delhi and am a PR of Canada.
also, ive heard that univ give transfer credits, so ive applied Univ of Regina's undergraduate program, hoping that ill get credits based on my bcom, do u have any idea how any years of credit will i get and i have to apply for the transfer credit before or after paying the admission fees
what should i go for? the pg diploma or the undergrad or will they be considered at par?

@laxmi.. if ur a PR of Canada, u dont need to be tensed.. Canadians and PR People are given first priority over jobs than temporary foreign workers..

Hi there. Got UBC VANCOUVER for Sep 2014 Masters intake & applied through VFS MUMBAI on 2nd July,2014. Paid 5000CAD in advance.
I have not given medical test as i came to know that cic asks for it IF REQUIRED. so far have not received any notification as it only shows that Visa is being processed at New Delhi office. Could you please tell when can I expect further notification?

Got medical request mail on July 20th (Sunday). Had applied on 2nd July,2014
