Applied 16th June for study permit (Austria) and no updates till now!!!

I am Egyptian and I got a PhD position at U of Montreal. I applied for a study permit from Germany (VAC Austria) at June 16th and my biometrics were given at June 17th but I still have no response from them while my study should start at Sep 1st!!!!

This is my second application as my first application was not well prepared as I did not give the letter of acceptance from my supervisor.

Does anyone has similar experience? Should I tell my supervisor to talk to them to speed up the process? OR should only me should talk to them?

Hi Mohammed,

Hope all is well.
My brother applied for the Canadian study permit from Germany as well. He filed his full application on July 22nd and his program starts on Sep 1 too.
His application status turned to cancelled all of a sudden and he has filled few case-specific enquiries so far.

I was wondering if you have heard back about your application yet or not?
