Applications form filed through NS ( CIO ) --> Buffalo (Filed from CANADA)

Hi,

I applied to Buffalo via NS on 16 April (courier delivered docs). We are currently on work visa due to expire on 5 December 2010. I have had no notification from Buffalo and having spoken to them this morning they have until 7 September to do so. Not sure if it is faster or slower.....just frustrating!! To those with first term WV, how long before it was due to expire did you renew? Have you had your PR through before renewal required?
 
Slight positive update...they have cashed the bank draft so at least i know they have it!

App Sent to Buffalo - Feb 03, 2010
AOR Buffalo - March 26, 2010 (Email)
Status: Received by Visa office
& No file transfer.

i'm still in "recieved by visa office" status. No transfers to other VO also. No medicals..

2nd AOR: waiting
Status: still CIO review complete.

Below are my time lines

Application for permanent residence received at Nova scotia on September 3, 2009.

Sent the whole set of application to Buffalo in Dec 2009

Application transfere to the New York office on May 25, 2010.

Application was reviewed and IN Process on June 16, 2010.

Initially i had filed from Canada, but now moved to India but the communication address is in Canada only

Waiting for Medicals
 
buffalo processing time is Ridiculously dead drop slow... they should learn from CHC Delhi and CHC Islamabad ( atleast for the cases after Nov 2008)

The CIC website shows buffalo timeline is 8 months for most (80%) cases but thats not correct someone should ask Mr. Minister of Immigiration????

I am in canada on WP, and my file was recieved by buffalo in July 2009.. that good for nothing CIC has not done any thing for 9months ( see above the timeline from CIC is that 8months and under fast track they should give decision in 6-12 months) and then they xfer my file to another slowest CIC in north america.. guess I am wright you know it -seattle, pathetic its been 3 months since it was transfered to seattle and no news no update... somehow we are loosing the excitement what we had when we heard of this fast track and abt getting PR fast as compared to GC in USA....

my one cent, if you guys can avoid sending to buffalo then you will see results faster...CIC buffalo are full of crap.. I went for my WP there and witness the speed of those sitting there in other side of the window.
My fren who was in USA applied from there but choose CHC ND applied in Dec -09 and now he is in toronto on PR (arrived here in April 2010)

AOR from CIO: August 2009
AOR from Buffalo: October 2009
File Transferred to Detroit: April 2010

No status update since April 2010.

Anyone else here stuck in Detroit like me? Please share your timeline.
