Hello:

Could someone please post the email address that the Buffalo visa office uses to contact applicants. It would be helpful for some of us to put the address in our "contacts" so their emails do not end up in our spam folder.

Thank you in advance,
Cam

Dear members,

I sent my medical results around 4 months ago.
Two months ago I sent an inquiry to Buffalo office and got this response:

Your file is in line for a review by an immigration officer. We cannot estimate when a decision will be made, but we assure you that you will hear from us once the officer reviews your file.

Now I sent an inquiry and got this response:

Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete.

Is there a difference in these responses or just different verbiage?
To me, it sounds like the first time the case was in pending (although they received my medicals a while back) and the second time it seems like the case is in process.

Thanks everyone!

Hi All,

I just want to share information.....

My friend send his application to Buffalo on 20 July, 2010.

He got Medical along with File No.

He got Medical and file no in same mail last week Thursday...

So it seems Buffalo office is working now.

And his e-cas shows IN PROCESS only..

So Don't lose hope......God is there and will bless us.

Do not worry man, you will receive your passport so soon. Wait for more 2 weeks before you contact them. However, i am sure that they will send the passport back to you way before that.

Good luck.

Hi Pro 1,

I am very frustrating here..coz its more then 9 months since I got my second AOR but still E-Cas shows RBVO.

I just don't know what to do now. Even I sent a case specific inquiry to buffalo VO in Nov. and got reply that file is in process but after that I haven't heard anything from them.

Any suggestions ? ? ?

Hopefully you will be hearing something soon. The problem is the transition stage after June, 26, 2010. Usually whenever they introduce new instructions, they get confused at the visa offices and delay the processing of the applications. Count 17 months from the day they received your full application at the visa office for your case to be finalized.

I know it is frustrating to hear that you might wait for 17 months from the date of reciept of your application at the visa office. However, i hope your case will be finalized way before that date.

Wish you the best of luck.

Found it on Trackkit...
Somebody got this message from Detroit office regarding visa issuance

"CIC is working to closely manage arrivals in Canada so that we meet, but do not exceed, the immigration levels plan set by Parliament last fall for 2011. Since we have larger inventories than room within the immigration plan for admissions to Canada, we must stagger the issuance of visas throughout the year. As a result, we will not be in a position to issue a visa to you until July of this year. We expect to send the instructions to you approximately in June."

My passport was sent to LA on Jan 7, since then no response. Sent an case specific enquiry on last Monday...yet no response either. Do you guys think the visa officers are undecided about my case to issue visa or not, hence, taking time...? or I am thinking too much!!

Since they asked you for the passport already I don't think they will delay anything.
I doubt they will keep your passport for months.

As the member above said. If they were not ready for any reason to send the passport request for visa issuance, they would not send it. (assuming that the passport request was not sent by mistake).

Do not worry, they will send you the passport back soon.

They will not hold your passport for months in Canada or the united states because they know that it is very serious matter to stay in either country without the passport for 6 or 7 months.

I Don't know why but i do have full reason to believe this reponse, looking at my case it's been exactly 6 months from the date i did my medicals,
and after no further progress, honestly if that's the case it would be a long time for me to get through,i do can read this but really don't understand the logic behind this when iam done with everything and one small step is all what Iam away from...
