spouse working experience documentation needed for Buffalo?

Hi,

I found that the New Deldhi Visa Office requires that the spouse (not the principal applicant) document his/her working experience as the principal does.

The Buffalo Office's instructions are not very clear:

For the accompanying spouse or common-law partner:
•original and up-to-date letters of reference, including all details as specified above, in respect of any employment in Canada under a work permit.
•a copy of the work permit.

Last time when I asked this question, a very nice person told me spouse's working experience documentation is only necessary is the spouse ever worked in Canada.

I'd like to confirm.

Thank you very much.

Congratulations gmr :)

when did u receive PPR.

Thanks

Hello All,

I got my visa and got it stamped in LA.

As of now i have two immediate questions. I am planning to land in Jan/Feb 2011. Could any one please let me know a temporary accomodation in Toronto or neigbouring places and does any one has imported the car from US to Canada. If so which trucking/shipping company you have used. Thanks in advance.

Just got an email from LA office. Their visa quota is over for the year. They will be returning my passport and asked to send it back in January.

@jang

But I see you applied a year ago, are you still subject to quotas?

Thanks.

The quota that I am talking about is the yearly visa "numbers" that each visa office is subjected to. It does not matter when you applied, or when you got AOR etc. It all depends on when you submit ur passport for visa stamping, if the numbers are not available you will have to wait till next year.

Some more of us now gonna share our pain with smallduck!!!
good luck!

Hi gmr,

That’s really good news, I also moved from US, I am not sure where in US, you are moving from, but I moved from Washington DC. I used Mayflower transportation. but get quotation from United Transportation also. And it’s wise to choose full insurance of all belongings as well as choose full service.

check craigslist for rentals or http://torontorentals.com/ or www.viewit.ca

I am not sure about transfering car, because I decided to sell my car in States.

Let me know if you have any question.

Ones again congratulations to you.

Thanks for understanding my agony :D...
I guess this phenomenon happens every year late Nov early Dec, and this is actually a good side because they are working effectively and approaching the quota at the last month of the year ;). Happy Xmas everyone

hi, guys, I have an update to share. I sent an email to Buffalo office on Sunday to check my Status, and received reply from them on Monday.

following is the reply:

Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete.

But I check my E-cas status is still "received by visa office".

Best wishes to all of us. ;D ;D ;D

Do you think that visa offices post the quotas they have? I am just curious.

Thanks.

I am not sure. I vaguely recall someone posting that in this thread.
