Does it really take a month for Ottawa to send the medical results to the local consulate?professional 1 said:For me, actually the ball now is in my field , because Buffalo is waiting for my medical results which is not sent yet by the DMP because it takes them 2 weeks to send it to Ottawa, i do not know are they sending it via camels to take all of that time ! and again when they reach Ottawa, i will have to wait for another month for the results to be sent to Buffalo from Ottawa.
Really unnecessary and unjustified delays !

Wow! See, they need to create more positions to keep Canadians employed. So there will be a person to scan it, and another one to send them off. A month to transmit some medica records is crazy in this day and age when information moves within hours between departments. No wonder the number of applications is piling up.professional 1 said:That is what the nurse told me, and actually i called CIC just now before i answer your question, and the call center agent told me that she has no definit answer for that question because it is not related to them, but from what she knows, she said usually it takes one month to ottawa to enter the medical results on their system, and then Buffalo can have access on them.
I was under the impression that Ottawa sends the results physically to Buffalo, not electronically !
Anyway, we will have to face some unnecessary delays.

Your wait in Buffalo has been a long time. As you can see my timeline, I received my AOR from Buffalo in Feb this year and my file was transferred to NY on April 20. I received medical request on May 12 and I completed the medicals today. But one thing is for sure, once your file is moved to NY, it means they have started processing. You will be getting medicals from NY consulate only. Expect it soon.AppforCan said:Is the file transfer to other consulates and then subsequent Medical requests totally random?
My Buffalo AOR date is July 30 2009 and the next update was an email from Buffalo saying that my file was transfered to NY consulate on 27th April.2010. I see that we have folks with apps submitted before me with no updates whatso ever and then there are folks who have file transfers and medical requests with their apps submission dates after me.
If we need to track and set ourselves expectation for next steps like medical requests etc ...what should we do ?
Thanks
My timelines are close to yours. I got my medical request on May 12. May be you can expect it by end of this month.Anil_Toronto said:Forgot to mention the date for file transfer to NY, it's: 11th May 2010
