Hi again guys,


I have a new update from my side today.

I just got the visa stamped in my passport with the conformation of permanent residance letter, i sent my cousin to Buffalo today morning with my passport, a written auothorization, 3 photographs, and he got the visa stamped within an hour (he is a canadian citizen, so he did not have to get visa to the United States).


I will land as soon as possible, it might be tomorrow god willing.


By the way, my e-case still does not even show the receipt of my medicals.

Can anyone know what does this mean?,I got below letter from visa office

An initial assessment of your application has been completed and your selection interview has been waived.
However, you may still be required to attend an interview for the purpose of ensuring that you and your dependants (if applicable) are admissible to Canada.
Final approval of your application will require that you meet statutory requirements such as the medical and security provisions of the Canadian Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and Regulations .
No further action is required by you at this time. If your application is being processed within our published service standards, status requests will not be responded to by this office.
If there is any change in your address or family composition, inform us as soon as possible (see our fax number and mailing address below).
For future reference, in all correspondence to our office, please refer to the applicant's full name, date of birth and file number.

Good news. I guess for now interview was waived, but they may call for interview later on. Wait for medicals within 2-4 weeks depending on your visa office regular mail. Check your E-Cas to see if there is any update.

Wow, I didn't know that we can go there personally to have our passport stamped. I'd probably do the same when my time comes. Is there a particular office/department where we should go? Thanks for sharing your updates and congrats again!

Yes in Buffalo you can go in person for visa stamping only on tuesday and thursady from 8 to 11 am.

You will see this information when they send you the PPR via email inside the following link:

http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/imm/submit_soumettre.aspx

It went so smothly with my cousin there, they just took the written authorization, the PPR request copy, and looked at his passport, and asked him to wait in the waiting room for almost an hour, and then they called him and gave him the passport stamped and a conformation of permanent residance consists of three pages, closed from the sides and attached to each others, and has my photo attatched to the first page, and a letter containing instruction about the COPR.

I will try to land tomorow god willing, and will tell you the details, i did not go to the USA because i do not have a visa, but tomorow i will go to the borders and reach the USA side, to get their visa or refusal letter to turn back and land in the canadian side.
