Applications delivered to consulate on May 7th gone missing..

Hi all,
We have identified 6 people so far from this forum reporting their packages gone missing which was delivered on May 7th 1:56pm by USPS.
Canadian consulate at NYC has emailed all the victims that they did received the package on May 7, 2012 but cannot be located and has advised them to inform the authorities who issued their passports that it has been lost and to apply for a new one.

Until now tens of emails have been sent to the consulate but none of the victims received any response from the consulate whatsoever.

Hi AKS79,

I found all your posts on this forum (and read the Ottawa Citizen article) about passports gone missing from the Canadian Consulate that wre delivered on May 7th 2012 at 1:56pm and received by W. Widadi. My mom's passport was also in the batch that has been misplaced (I found the money order for the visa fee was never cashed) and she has not received the passport back till date (July 19th). The consulate has not responded to more than 20 emails and faxes I sent. I am planning to go down to NY consulate tomorrow morning and am wondering if you ever found a resolution to the problem or can provide any tips. I want to minimize the harshness to deal with tomorrow.
