What are your reasons for going to Canada. Living in London as a citizen should be equally good, why leave that for a initial struggle in CA.

Hi, firstly I do not live in London, London is just the visa office we are using. I live in Loughborough which is in the Midlands. It is close to Nottingham.

Secondly we have been to Canada several times on holiday and have some relatives out there, and we love everything about it. The places you can visit there and the scenary is breathtaking. And we love the pace and quality of life in and around Vancouver.

I am 37 years old now, and my wife is 29, and so we want to try emmigrating whilst we are young enough to do it. Once we have a family it will become harder to move.

We will still be UK citizens and if this doesn't work out, we can always come back. Guess I've been getting itchy feet to try a new country for a number of years now.

Completeness check will check that you have included all forms, that they are signed where needed and that there are no blanks. They will also check you have included all supporting documents, but they won't really verify their contents at this stage.

Not until the eligibility review will your points be calculated or your supporting documents scrutinized.

Well, I am from England so I would rather hope my English is of a reasonable standard My wife has dyslexia and she is the principal applicant, so she had to take the IELTS test rather than me. Thankfully she still managed an 8.5 band score.

It seemed to us somewhat ironic that we are from England and our nation spawned the English language, and we have to prove to some Canadians, who misspell everything anyway, that we can speak and write English ;p

BTW....Just quoting a HSBC commercial I saw recently:

Well China has a population of 1.3 billion, and the United Kingdom has a population of 60 million. So there are 22 times more people in China than England. Therefore, given that English the second language of the world, that a good deal more Chinese can speak English than people from the United Kingdom!

Actually, more people have Chinese for their first language than any other language on the planet.
