i am not sure but when i look at their website its either bankdraft/money order or credit card. I used my visa credit card for my application fee..

Are you sure, visa DEBIT card? Because i think they accept credit cards and not debit cards.

Technically speaking they only accept credit cards, not debit cards. However, VISA is a bit different since their automated systems don't differentiate between debit and credit they just see a 16 digit VISA number.

However, I've heard of people having problems with VISA debit - some go through, some don't. One user on the Britishexpats forum had their application received towards the end of June just before the cut-off, their payment was rejected using VISA debit and their application sent back, and their NOC is now off the list.

My strongest advice is to use a banker's draft (which is guaranteed to clear) and use if possible a major bank who are able to tell you once the recipient cashed it. If a banker's draft isn't possible, then credit card is definitely safer than debit card.

I have one question regarding the bank document. The letter issued by bank for accont certificate is not on theie letter. The reason given that they do not have a letterhead paper. The letter given has the bank stamp, seal and signature of the authorised person. Will that be a problem? I am planning to submit my account statement of my passbook as well or bank statement along with letter. Please suggest.

In my case I decided to give my bank certificate, its a time deposit account but when i get it the letterhead was there , the amount , when it was opened and its maturity , the branch manager who signed that, all those things are included. You just have to look what your VO is asking in my VO they ask for current bank certification. It does not specify whether original or just a photocopy, but i decided to pass the original.

I think they will return your application if debit card is not ok with them. I dont think theres a way to send it after you sent your application it should be included in your application.. Well we just have to wait and hope that it will be ok

money has not gone out but the credit card statement shows approval but not included in unbilled statement and nor merchant accepted yet. may be clear tomorrow because offices are closed at this time.
i talked to someone and he says same thing that approval done but merchant not accepted yet. i dont know wherther it is a two stage process.

yah its also the same when i checked my credit card account online .. it says that approved transaction but waiting for presentation.. the next day its already in my statement of account that CIo charged me the application fee for fsw..
