As per the projections listed in the annual report to parliament by Minister of immigration the quotas are
(Jan to Dec) as follows;
Total target for 2011 – 240000 to 265000
Economic Class – 150600 to 161300 out of which
FSW – 74,000 to 80400 out of this
Principal applicant 33200 to 36600,
Spouses & dependents 40800 to 43800
Family Class – 58,500 to 65500
Protected persons – 23200 to 29000
Others – 7700 to 9200

How they distribute to 27 visa offices around the world is a question.

Nobody will know about quota distribution between VO.

If getting exhausted then they will carry the pending files to next year and start action from Jan itself.

Once you complete medical they have to give priority to you so that you can enter Canada within one year from your medical.

After medical result receipt by VO you should get your case finalised with in 3 to 5 months and get your visa if security clecks are cleared.

Please could you share your timelines for the benefit of other members. Where is your Consultant located?

When PA completes record of landing the status on ecas will be complete and ecas will be removed.
If she is your dependent then she will not have seperate ecas at all.
No problem for your wife to land within the visa validity date.

You have the SIN number and AOR of PR card.
With that you request your prospective employer to wait for you.
With our PR card you can not move out & come into Canada.
You need to apply for Travel document to re-enter or some one has to courier your PR card & with that you can
re-enter.
Where you will be placed once you join for that US company? In US or Canada?

Hi friends,

I just landed in Canada on October 6, 2011. What is bothering me is I could no longer ACCESS MY ECAS application status. I also checked the ECAS of my WIFE who is still in the Philippines but we could not also ACCESS her ECAS. Her immigrant visa will expire on May 2012.

Another issue, I was offered a job today by a US company here in Vancouver but they are asking me for my PR card as a requirement for BACK CHECK. They told me they will wait for my PR CARD until next week. What I was made to understand if I could not produce my PR card the US company will offer this job to someone else.

PLEASE I NEED YOUR ADVISE ASAP

Re: I BADLY NEED YOUR ADVICE

I landed in Vancouver October 6, 2011 but when I checked my eCAS, I could no longer access it? I also checked my wife's eCAS who is in the PHilippines and I could no longer also check her eCAS? Is it possble that my eCAS was hacked by some hackers?

Congratulations on your landing and no! Your ecase was not accessed by hackers. The ecase seems to simply stop functioning once landing is completed, I am however, surprised that your wife can not access hers either since she is yet to land.

Regarding the PR card for the job offer, I don't think there is any process in place to try and speed up the delivery. You could speak to the employers and show them your SIN number instead. I hope that works out for you, all the best!

I'm going to Scotland tomorrow so I will prob be off the forum for a few day,will have to much wine . It's one year anniversary of my dads death on Monday,the last year has been a difficult one,this process has been hard.It has been great to have the support of everyone on here,it has definitely made it a better time,I look forward to my check on here about 3 times a day,just to see how everyone is doing.
