I still do not understand why so many people submitted Academic IELTS results, when the instructions clearly stated that only General Training IELTS results were acceptable.

I would consider this move from CIO as a good one - since they have giving people a second chance to get the correct results in. And I think if you get such a request it is very good news because it means you will get PER as long as the results are ok. Admittedly it will delay things by a couple of months, but with the place in the NOC cap assured I don't see this being a big obstacle.

I think some people were planned to use the same IELTS for study or employer and thought it will work out. Or maybe they took it before they new the procedure and tokk the harder one.

Agree...I was planning the same..edu thing...my momforced me to do Gen...I still owe her a drink

Guys do you think its good idea to start for PCC once PER comes through???

I think CIC has taken a pause in regards to PER as they have changed the policy in regards to IELTS. They are now reviewing this and sending additional requests to people who had submitted the Academic module.

I had send general IELTS, so i dont know why my application is stuck though.

Let us start giving +ve to the members whoever helps and share more info other than just saying thanks, congratulations etc

We are more than 200 members here, the -ve people will leave the ground in a short while

Don't sweat it I've had 11 negs in the past 36 hours.

Fairly sure some immigration lawyers/consultants don't like our helping people for free, and this pathetic level is the only way they can find to discourage us. Guess some of them are getting pretty desperate.

No I come from small emerald isle next to Britain. Currently living in Ireland but originally from India. Cheers. As you may have observed, the Irish and Indian flag has the same three colours. So it serves well for me.

yes i send them many emails the same answer "your file is awaiting review by an officer..." i have never checked my email inbox before like i am doing these days.. frustrated and lost hope ... i feel that something bad is coming ... ??? :'(

I am wondering if you personally asked the CIO specifically about the status of your BankDraft,aside from the update of your document.It is because,in my experience,I ask them about the update of my documents and they reply to me,your file is still under review,and when I make a follow question about my BD,they reply after 3 days,and informed me that MY BD has been cashed out.

In my case,I am having problem to get info about my bank draft status,but thanks to the CIO.

But I've still not received the package and there are no mails till date as well. I'm concerned whether my package is lost in transit. Is there anybody else still waiting like me?

Yes waiting is awful, but don't lose hope.

Always have reserve plan just for any case.

We had to fight off repeated CIO and VO attacks.

my package was returned back to me after 3 months so u should wait a bite longer because they sent it by regular mail

Yeah hopefully it will be a good place to store central information without people having to dive through a 700+ page thread to find it Also it saves my typing since rather than having to explain the same things over and over again I can just say "Please see page X on my blog (link below)"
