Hello Indira

Ur observations are really good but ,where is Interview stage if VO feels that candidate needs to be interviewed?

Where it fits in ur observations kindly explain as u have gone thru details from CIC.

Dear forum administrators,

In order to follow the process in even greater detail I would suggest a separate column in the spreadsheet called "Status available through e-CAS".

Yours sincerely,

Hello FMA,

The interview might be requested during or after the Background checks @ the VO. Only after the interview waiver or an interview, they will issue the medicals and RPRF request.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Dear Friends,

Today, I got my file back :( after three months and ten days with the deficiency of birth certificate of mine and my spouse.

As we were not guided by our agent to produce the same before filing the application.
Now the file return due to birth certificates.

I checked the record with Municipal Corporation of my city and found only my birth certificate from them and got NON AVAILABILITY CERTIFICATE for my wife.

In this NON AVAILABILITY CERTIFICATE they mention that they are not having the original record of her birth.

Is anybody in this forum can guide me what other document we can provide to spot my NON AVAILABILITY CERTIFICATE for birth record or this is sufficient or I have to attach an affidavit with Matric certificate to spot it.

Need your guidance and help.

I did go through the new version and here are the my observations;

The CIO does 4 different stages of processing for applications received on or after June 26 2010.

1. The completeness check, which leads to the payment en cashment.

2. Check if the applications correspond to the MI - NOC and job descriptions(Keeping in mind the CAP as well)

3. Check if the applications correspond to the minimal requirements of FSW - here they only check the work experience as to if it occurs in an appropriate NOC and within last 10 years, and that the applicant performed substantial duties etc.,.

4. Assess the applications against the FSW selection criteria. Here they assess and award points based on 6 selection factors and the Proof of funds.

If the application passes through ALL the above 4 stages, then the CIO officer will 'forward the entire application to the visa office identified by the applicant on the IMM 0008 for a selection decision',

Applications can be rejected/refused at any of the above 4 stages and the CIO will intimate the applicants on this if their application failed and they are returning the application.

If the application failed at the 4th stage, The CIO officer will refuse the application (negative selection decision); record outcome and reasons; and send a letter to inform the applicant (see Appendix C for sample letter).

Note: The CIO can only make negative selection decision and not a positive one. So, if the application passes through the 4th stage, the application will be forwarded to the VO, and The visa officer will review the application and case analysis provided by the CIO and make the selection decision.

The VO part is not that clear and hence we have to assume it remains the same.

1. Once they receive the file, they will start the BC on the applications, and request for the PCCs if they were not submitted already.

2. Issue medical and RPRF requests, while they do the security checks

2. Issue the Visas :)

Long story short, they have made it clear what CIO does and what is left for the VO.

Man! they are keeping good time and 4 months is completely acceptable for all the 4 stages @ the CIO.

Also, for those lucky ones with the PERs, you have all passed through the most difficult stages already and cheer up! It's just the background, medical and security checks remaining :)

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.
Dear Indira,

Great calculation and I agree with this because till the time you are qualifying the basic you are not going to reach the final.
More 120 days are no more in the system and they are interested to clear the thing before time.

So, we think with all certainty that if you have received your PER
1) Your application is complete
2) Your duties correspond sufficently to the duties and they have long enough experience (2 and 3 above look very similar to me!)
3) That you have 67+ points

The above makes sense because even though they dropped the "AOR" line from the previous set OP, they did say that the application is forwarded to visa office AFTER selection + admissability (which is where they tot up your points to ensure you have at least 67).

Can we also say that once your PER has arrived, your visa application can only really fail now if:
1) Something in the security or background checks brings up something from your dim and dirty past that you haven't told them!
2) You fail your medicals

The question now is, what will the visa offices do with the incoming applications, in relation to the pre-June-26 applications they already have? Slot them in behind the ones which are already at the security/background check stage?

Direct comparisons of processing times at visa office cannot really be done since pre-June-26 had significantly more to be done at the visa office than ours will. But IMO the process will be a lot shorter. So if the average finalisation time is 10 months for pre-June-26 applicants, one might expect the post-June-26 applicants finalisation to be 5/6 months. So for a 10 month visa office we should see some actual visas around May/June 2011 for those who received their PER in November? Or am I just being overly optimistic? :)

Has anyone managed to ascertain - do we get an AOR from visa office when they receive the paper file from CIO, or only when they put our file into process (security checks etc)?
Wayne.
Hi Wayne,

Yes, that's pretty much it!:)

If an application has got a PER from the CIO, and they are confident enough that NOTHING might raise in the background and documentation checks, and of course the security and medicals, nothing could stop them receiving the PR.

As for the AOR from the VO, they may not have received the physical files yet, and may be they send out the AOR first while they ask for the PCCS(if not submitted before) etc., and then put the file on queue for the Background checks.

As for the time-lines, yes i too guess May and June 2011 or even before that for the faster VOs :).

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Hi Golden star,

Sorry about your application being returned, but now the CIO started accepting the applications with just the school certificates(10th and 12th) in lieu of the BC. So, don't worry about that, just send in the application with the BC for you, school certificates for your wife, mentioning the non availability of the BC for your wife.

Good luck with your application.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Dear fma,

Is that a routine that many applicants are called for interview? I have heard that most of the applicants under Federal SW are being waived, unlike the Quebec SW. So, isn't it like that? Sounds funny cause I am now ages and ages away from any interview. :-[

NO Katy

It was my assumptions, keeping in mind the attitude of CIC for post 26/6. as u know according to my knowledge pre 26/6 only 20% of indian applicant got interview calls, not necessarily every one will get call but it is my assumtion.

Hope it is clear to u.
