Hello Every one,

I thing no one member on this forum can congratulate me if i will get any good news in feature because all are very busy in their job in canada

Am i right ? because there is no any sign for my medical. still in process since 7 Dec :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Who will with me ?
Hi rupesh
Please don’t lose your courage mate. Your turn will come soon. I am with you. I would like to add that ndvo is the 1of the fastest vo in the world. Have a look at the buffalo vo and Sydney (aus) vo from where I have applied from. Almost 4 months from “in process” still got nothing.
So just bit wait for your turn. Here I would like to share one story with ndvo.
My sister who applied fsw2 on oct 2010 she got rejection only because of birth cert of my aunty (sponsor) missing then she applied again and application came back because of noc was just finished. Now again she applied in current intake and finally got her medical request last month.
There are many people I know on this forum who been waiting for 2 yrs with no reason for delay. I have been told from Sydney vo that we need some more time to verify your application with partner agencies. Now you tell me what I suppose to do now.

Settling down in a new country is not very easy. You will find out soon enough as you have to deal with housing, banking, schooling, transportation, healthcare, finding work, networking, making ends meet, etc.

Give those who have succeeded a break. I'm sure they are all going through reality checks and trying to deal with more important issues.

As useful and cordial as these fora are, we are all really strangers to one another. That can't be more important than our families.

I'm sure once they come up to speed with life in Canada, they will be back to help those on this forum.

In the mean time, there is more than enough information from previous discussions to help any new applicant. They just need to take time and make the effort to find them.
I agree. Many people underestimate the challenges involved in relocation and settling down in a different country. Most people misconstrue the former as equal to the latter. As you rightly pointed out, it is a journey that has different dimensions, challenges and varying duration for different people depending on their individual circumstances. In all fairness, we have seen most previously active members of the forum dropped by to offer some guidance every once in a while: cappuccino, wenstumped, Indira et al come to mind here. The responsibilities of keeping the forum on and providing info/support lie mostly on those of us that are still in the process. The immigration process is a journey of many phases, and we all have to move on from one phase to another; at least that is what we pray for.

All the best to all of us.

Hey Rupesh,

I agree with you on this... Not all, but most people, disappear once their destinations are reached / goal achieved... And that's sad and unfortunate!!! :(

But anyway, that means people like you and me have to keep this in mind... Even if we reach our final goal... That there are friends who supported us, there are friends who need us... The way so many experienced friends helped us, we too are obliged to be with people!!

Nevertheless, we should also be grateful to friends like canadestin, Mitali, nokiadesire, arun and so many others... who haven't forgotten us and are still active here, guiding people like us ;D Thanks so much to them!!

About your news... Don't worry... Lot of us would be very much here to congratulate you... and that will be very very soon :)
Agreed!!

I do agree as well. But, when compared to many other countries that I know of, Canada is at ease in terms of settling down. Its just like following a checklist to settle down in canada. Once you end the checklist, you are done. This is what I feel. I moved from US to canada in september 2009. It was very easy for me to settle down. I understand that my case is different than others who come on PR. But, its not so worse that we can think of.

Guys, Dont scare new comers.. :p :p :p :p

Thanks,
satya.

I am glad you were able to work through your "checklist" quite quickly. Would you consider getting a PR as part of the things you would want to put on that CL? I see that's still pending. I pray that comes through for you soonest as well Satya. Let's just say that while some may have a short CL, others may have longer ones. What's on everyone CL is not the same as you rightly said.

I hope my post doesn't sound as scary as you made it sound :). Just trying to put things in relative perspective. Life would be heck of a better place if all it takes is to tick boxes. All I am saying is how about we give the guys some time to tick off their own CL as you have done, no matter how long it seems to take them, they deserve that time off don't you agree.

All the best.

I like what you said about my CL. PR is already on that list and working on it :). But, it is not a hassle to me at the moment because, I am in Canada already with a WP. Just a different status.

I definitely agree that people need their own time to settle down. I was just kidding that people get scared when the listen to the word "challenges in a new country" when they are planning to settle down in that country.

Thanks,
satya.

Settling down for someone crossing over from USA to Canada is not the same as for someone coming from Asia, Africa or even Europe.

Those checklists are not an end in themselves. What one person considers as convenient, in terms of all the prevailing factors, is not the same as for others.

I don't know why people on this forum always consider any word of caution as scare tactics. Everybody will discover there own realities after they land.

A year after landing, we will see if any frequent contributor will still be contributing as frequently.

For those who have landed, good job and focus on finding your feet. For the rest of us, we are here to assist each other. Remember that there are still many 2010 applicants still awaiting response. They have as much experience as those who have received visas already.

With changing circumstances, priorities change. It's just human nature.
