Glad to know that there is one more Portuguese here! Nice!
I sent my application by regular mail (carta registada com aviso de recepção). I chose to sent it by regular mail because there are still lots of vacancies for 4151's.
But I'm starting to feel worried that it hasn't been delivered yet.
Did you have any feedback from CIO? Do you know if they will contact us by e-mail or by letter?
Tell me more. What are the prospects? Do you have relatives in Canada? Where are you planning to settle in Canada?
Good luck for you too!
I don't know how it works when we sent it through regular mail.
yesterday I called the CIO call centre and a guy told me that CIO is currently processing applications received by the end of September. And told me to call within 1 month.
I think that the first thing to expect after the application is received is to have our CC/ BD encashed. This means that your application passed through the first review (CIO checked if all documents are within the application). So far my Credit Card was not charged but I will keep waiting with my fingers crossed.
After CIO confirm your elegibility (all documents are OK) you will receive an AOR (acknolegment of receivement) through e-mail. (check last post regarding the content of this AOR). After CIO will send our application to our VO (Visa Office) so the process can continues with the medical exames, PCC, etc, etc.
For now, try to ask the postoffice (CTT) if they have any info regarding your package and how long it takes to deliver it to Sydney, nova scotia...
Regards,
Raquel
