Hey! Guys,

There has been a lot of commotion and excitement since we received our Passports with the Visas stamped. However, as the feeling has started to sink-in, I am back to replying to all your queries/questions and PMs.

Since you may all know, we had submitted the RPRF Draft and other documents (without the Passports) on 11-Apr-2011. Since then we had been waiting anxiously for the PPR.

Frankly, we really started to worry since it was going to be almost 4 moths without any kind of update or information from the NDVO. In the mean time however, what kept happening continuously was the mysterious appearance and disappearance of our Address in the ECAS. So much so that we almost lost count how many times it appeared and disappeared during this time.

Anyways, on 1-Aug-2011, we finally got our PPR. Without any further delay, we sent our Passports the very next day i.e. on 2-Aug-2011. On 8-Aug-2011 our status changed to DECISION MADE.

On 12-Aug-2011, we got back our Passports with the lovely visas through a registered post. Currently our status says "DECISION MADE" with our address still intact in it.

Hope this answers all your queries, if not, do let me know and I will try to answer them as best as I can.

Thanks,
DK

I'll be more clear

I sent my application on 2nd December 2010
It was received by CIO Sydney on 8th December 2010
They cashed the bank draft the next week

After this CIO sydney did not send my anything. Neither a AOR nor a PER. I waited till July 2011 for any information regarding my application but there was no response. So in July 2011 i sent them an email asking about my application's status, they replied:

Your application has been received by our office, and is currently awaiting review. You will be contacted in due course. A letter will be sent via the e-mail addresses provided on your application.

In the above email, they also mentioned my Application ID which i could use to track my application ( i didn't know this at that time, the tracking part)

After a month, 9th august to be exact, i got my PER email from ntake-Office @ cic.gc.ca. This is the standard email everyone gets and it said:

Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive final determination of eligibility for processing on the basis of work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on June 26, 2010.

Your application will be forwarded to a visa office for further processing.

That is the story. The only thing confusing me is this.

When i click the in process link in ecas i get this message:

We received your application for permanent residence on December 8, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 4, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

The second line says that CIO sent me my PER email in March 2011( which i never received). Lets assume that they did send me an email in march and they did transfer my file to London Visa office in march. If that is the case, why haven't they updated my ecas mentioning the date the VO received my file. Also, if my application was just sent to the visa office, why does my ECAS say in process.

EDIT:

This is what my ecas looks like

what is the date in your PER email??? is it March 4 or 9 August.....? i mean in the content of the email...not the date wen u received the email.

No, my husband and I are UK citizens, salman.
I believe the fast processing for Pakistan applicants can be explained by the fact that they have allocated a separate team to process the Islamabad applications at London. No other nationality has such an arrangement there as far as I know. Presumably this is because of language barrier issues when checking background such as education and also because of the time difference.

I also think that London is processing very recent applications as fast as possible ahead of older applications because this is one way of getting their average processing time down. In all political situations, targets are all important and it doesn't look good for the VO if despite everything that has been done to streamline the process, their processing times are still rising.

LONDON UPDATE

My husband received a letter today from London VO requesting the following;

Updated Police checks for us both (although they were included originally)

New IM0008 form

Another letter from his company confirming his job as permanent (included originally)

Another copy of his valid TWP (included originally)

I think they are asking for the last two things again, despite having them in the original pack, because we are Category 2 and because of the fraud issues with AEO they obviously want to double check the job validity.

They also returned some documentation (University transcripts) so it is clear that they have already done some processing.
This letter was posted on the 29th July, which was 3 days after ECAS changed to IN PROCES

We have 60 days from posting to comply.
It has taken almost 2 weeks to reach him and of course he will have to post back everything from Canada, so we are getting our skates on now!

This development happened only a few days after a period of our address disappearing from ECAS for over a week and then returning, so that is further evidence that address absence is somehow linked to developments in a file at VO (although I still cannot understand why this should be!)

CAIPS notes have still not yet arrived, but I will advise and give and interesting details when they do.
:)
Very glad to hear that Helen, best of luck for the rest of the process :)

HI
I am the sufferer of this. My consultant misguided me about IELTS. I was send my file to CIC on 24th nov. 10 with IELTS academic and received letter on 30th Jan 11 for IELTS general. I send general IELTS score on 5th march. I got second AOR on 12th may 11. and since last 3 months nothing is updated in my status RBVO.
My application is became very slow due to foolish mistake of my consultant (I paid him 70000 INR to avoid mistakes and delays). My point without IELTS was score 61. after IELTS it goes to 73. In short your file will not return directly, they will give you 120 days to submit IELTS GT score. So you appear as early as possible and send them score card without waiting for their intimation . this will save your time by 2-3 month (that is upto next BFD)
Best luck

Hello Queencougar,

Congratulations for the latest updates. btw you have given a sensible logic for pakistani applications being processes at fast rate.

Salman

Hi CloudShadow,
I am assuming you submitted your application very recently.
I think this is a bug in the eCas system.
In addition to me, I am pretty sure other people have also seen this happen to their status and were really confused by it.
Assuming that the same is happening to you right now, the status changes to 'In Process' and I can tell you that my Status Details (when you click on status) at one point even said something like (I cna look up the exact wording for you because I copied/pasted it) 'Your Medical results have been received' and this was after only my initial submission. I was so confused how they could receive my medical results if they never asked me for them and I never got a medical check. Of course, within a few days the Medical Results line was gone, and also the status changed back to (sadly) 'Received by Visa Office'.

Also, when the case goes to 'In Process' for real, an additional line is added to the end of the Detailed status messaged that says something like Your Application is in Process since <date> and that never appeared at the end of my Detailed Status, and from what I read from your post, it doesn't look like your detailed status (description that shows when you click on the status link) shows that last line saying something like 'Application is now in Process' either.

So, I think your application is in RBVO and what you saw is very similar to the abnormal behaviour a lot of us saw on eCAS after we submitted our application.

Thanks. I hope this helps.

Ok, there is something i dont understand. From what i have read in the forum this is how our application is processed

1. We send our application.
2. We get an Acknowledgement of Receipt
3. We get our file number and the application is transfered to the VISA office
4. Our Status changes to 'In Process'( and ecas details show the the date when the VO received our application)

(please correct me if i got the above wrong)

Now my case was kind of unique so a few things are quite unclear to me. I sent my application with full documents in December 2010, i got my AOR in July 2011 and my file number in August 2011( the 120 day letter/email). In that email CIO sydney has told me that my application will be transfered to my VISA office, which is what happens usually. But due to some reason instead of my status being RBVO, its In Process

In my ECASE page, when i click on the "In process'' link i get this

From what i understand about the entire process, as my ecas status says IN PROCESS shouldn't the details also mention the date when the VO received my documents?

Can someone tell me what is going on here?

Hi Cloudshadow,

As I have mentioned in my earlier post, the "In Process" status in your Ecas is highly improbable since you have recently received PER. Your CSE clearly indicates that your application is awaiting review which is RBVO status. Give it some time ( 1week or so...although this assumption is not based on any statistics) to change status.

Your application has been received by our office, and is currently awaiting review. You will be contacted in due course. A letter will be sent via the e-mail addresses provided on your application.

If you still can not bear the tension, then apply for CAIPS notes. If you decide to do so just let us know and someone will be able to guide you on that or feel free to PM me.

Hi candestin,

Do you truly believe that Cloudshadow should SUE CIC for this matter and there is no other way to find an answer? If that's the case then all the applicants who have had DM in their Ecas that reverted back to "In Process" (pre jun) status should SUE CIC. We all are experiencing UNFAIRNESS/Mental trauma...damage in processing of our applications (esp the pre Jun applicants and applicants even before them) and so SUING the CIC is the only option?

I would very politely request you to please enforce caution when you give your suggestion....you never know, the applicant may take you seriously and engage his efforts and money to really opt for what you have suggested.

Having said that, I also see a smiley ( :)) with your comment....so does that mean that you really did not mean what you suggested or are you just mocking Cloudshadow's situation?

If you think that I am giving it a "serious tone" then you are right....I would hate to see myself or anybody else in Cloudshadow's situation and I feel anybody mocking or giving irrelevant suggestion to something which is important to others - is a little insensitive.

HI DK First of all congrtas for the Mapple Visa .. Buddy .I have a question ...

How do I come to know when my BD is charged by CIC ? I rang up the Customer Care of the bank but they told me that it is not possible at their end to traceout. I have to contact CIC for the same. But I can understand from this forum that it is possible.

Please tell me the way out. My application was received on 5th Aug 2011 under 1122 and what was your FSW category ?
