hi dear friends
I have something which might be interesting for my colleagues who have an application in damascus vo. having sent an enquiry to warsaw vo regarding my application they replied me today that my application has recently arrived in their vo and they will soon send me a letter acknowledging receipt of my application with file number and processing timelines. I dont know but I wish it would result in good news in future.

As far I know INR and available funds in India would not help.

My undersatnding is, The POF at landing is the amount you have in hand or in Canada to support your initial expense (first few months) in Canada.

e.g. If you have X amount in India in FD, Mutual fund etc but not in Canada it is of no use to support you in Canada while your stay.


Please do your research , they may not allow to enter inside Canada if one does not carry required POF.

I would like to know about Proof of fund required at the time of Port of entry - Landing Canada. - what is the minimum & maximum canadian dollar we can take with us.


Also can we show Bank FD ,Shares & Mutual Funds amount (INR) at the time of immigration process @ canada airport


Should we have fund in canadian dollar only or INR would work. like 5000$ + remaining INR (indian bank FD, Indian Stock valuation etc)?

Please guide me so I can plan.

Question to ND VO people who have got the Visa

How much time the NDVO takes to dispatch the passport once you have Decision made on ecas.

e.g.

DM on x date then on what date they send the registered post, you might get it from the envelop where India post office has hand written the reference number (post office registry number) and date

I received my medicals by post and I think this will be the same for all applicants. The VO will send you a special document with your picture on it that you have to take with you once you do your medicals. I don't believe they are sending electronic versions of these documents yet.

and yes, I am already working in Canada! I don't think I'm on the spreadsheet but I'm fine to be off it!

Dear Bhavik,

The fund has be shown in candian dollar and not in INR. You can open an account in scotia bank rights here in India. they are having their branch in Mumbai where u have to deposit the amount in INR . bank offiicial shall convert & transfer the money to canda and shall provide the statement of fund balance of scotia bank which is accpeted by Immegration authority at canada . What is the accepted validity for Police Clearance Certificates???
3 months, 6 months or 1 year???
