I think their systems are outdated and they haven't invested enough to upgrade them........What I think is that when some visa officer takes the case in his/her hands, he/she will be CLICKING on that particular stage option ('RBVO', 'In Process', 'MR Recd' etc..) and the ECAS automatically pulls that info whenever it gets refreshed.......Now why is that it gets updated on weekends most of the time -- May be they do not want additional load on their servers on weekdays (by keeping all their systems linked to ECAS on a real time basis) and hence when the load is very low on weekends, they decide (may be some security guard is instructed to hit a refresh button !!!) to update ECAS.......

Or simple plain logic -- They don't care.

First ECAS is an automated system and so no one manually enters info into your account. Every time your application passes through a significant phase in the system, the ECAS gets updated automatically. This being an electronic system, it might take a few days for the changes to reflect in your account.

Nope it's not mandatory. As indicated already, I just sent an informal 'Contents' list, hand written. I don't think you should worry, as long as ALL docs and passports requested are sent, mentioning the right file number.

I dont know about ecas but I have worked with some software for US public entity and untill you dont hit export it doesn't matter how much information has been changed no one will see it. I guess ecas must work similarly. In my opinion some VO's are better than others exporting their information as Jason Bourne said. Wish it was real time though... :-\

it's a secret group....only for senior members...they wont reveal the group name.

Yes it is a secret group as of now at the request of the members, and ALL NDVO applicants are welcome there. Only thing is that this one will be of max use to folks who are preparing to land.

The group name is 'Voyage Au Canada'.

Yes we need to get them fill soon. I am also wondering whether instead of it merely being passive information, if it could be developed further. I have posted my following thoughts on this earlier.

Temasek, We already have a NDVO group on FB for this purpose and creation of a intl one is pending for some more VOs to wake up. Or is it time we create it already?

I would say a 20%. It depends on your medical/criminal admissibility AND the genuineness of the documentation/info provided on the application.
