Firstly
I didn't congratulate you as much as you really deserve. But, i'm soooooooooooo happy for you and i really felt that i am the one who got the call.

Secondly:
Me too, didn't expect that Cairo VO will be that fast!! It's amazing.

Thirdly:
I should agree with that: my file was really really challenging for me and my family. But honestly, i should admit that i was so afraid after we have sent the application to the CIO, from the overlapping thing! I thought it was clear for them, but i was wrong! Unfortunately, it was our fault for not sending clear and documented explanation from the start! I thought that as i have already got the PER, so it was not a problem and they could explain the overlapping by logic!


Anyway, i have sent every single paper, formal letters and documents that should clear my case. If they not to be satisfied yet, i think i'll go to suffocate or shoot someone

Fourthly,
In fact, i don't think the process is random! I think engy should send them proof of her leaves from the government during her work in the private pharmacy. Her case resembles my wife's case.

Regarding Engy, I had no idea that she had a communication from the egyptian embassy about the same overlapping workout. Another thing to think about is how clear papers should be when it comes in the hand of an officer who does not know you except through documents. Hope engy willl be fine as well.

We have waited a long before we were able to apply for canada and had enough time to think about details of applying and following till the moment we met here. Let the rain fall on every single dream to let it grow so green with hope for a beautiful future Amen

Hi asaif,

Regrettably I don't think you can transfer a file from one VO to another yourself. This only happens if CIC decide to do it to improve their own workloads (as we've seen recently with some Damascus files being transferred to Warsaw, and last year Islamabad files transferred to London).

By all means try sending a case specific query to CHC London to see what they say, but my feeling is that they will want a very good reason of personal circumstances in order to transfer the file, and "I don't want to wait any more" probably won't cut it with them.

I am sorry I realise you were one of the first post-June-26 applicants and that this must be really frustrating for you

Does anyone else know a case where someone has managed to request a visa office transfer? I have never heard of one.

Asaif, when did you last send a query to CHC London to ask about the status of your application? I think given that some late November applicants have now received medicals, you are entitled to know why as a July applicant your application has not even gone into process yet!

There was one scenario where a file transfer request from New Delhi to London happened as the applicant started working in London on work permit ( I guess he was a 2006 applicant) and he got his PR in the next few months after the transfer. Having said that, it all depends on the case...how strong is the reason for transfer & also the respective CHC should be convinced that file transfer is required based on their guidelines.
