Well, you are not on the left out list yet :). Anyway, you can check for your payment confirmation now. If yes, you are definitely in the eligibility queue now.

Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) INR 21,440 / Canadian $490 as per CHC, New Delhi website.

What would be the idol for us to pay in INR or $? Why I'm asking because if we pay in $, the exchange rate will be applicable.

So, if we are paying in INR then we have to pay Rs.21,440 * 2 = Rs. 42,880/- (PA & spouse). Correct me if I'm wrong?

Raj.

Hi Bindu,

1. The first page of the letter is case specific, whereas the subsequent pages are standard instructions. So the request for passport on first page supersedes the general information on following page.

This is a general opinion of the other forum members who received Passport request.

I am planning to send an email to NDVO today for the clarification on the same. I will update you if I hear anything from them. I am planning to send my documents by 21st March. So, if I don't hear anything from VO before that, I am going the send my Passport too.

2. It is not necessary to use a registered government post. It's a matter of choice and you can use any reliable courier service to send the documents. They would have specified clearly incase they do not accept the couriers. I will prefer the courier service for obvious reasons.

3. Paying RFRF in CAD $ or INR is again a personal choice. Since you are in India, it will be convenient to pay in INR. Also, at later stage, when you need to find out if the DD was en cashed or not, it will be lot easier if the DD was made in INR.

Ok, I was asking for Turn around Time. How many days have being given you to submit Medical,RPRF & PP.

Raj.

Okay, getting used to these acronyms.

Letter is dated 3rd March and All docs are required by 17th April.

So a total of 45 days including the days when your letter was in transit.

hey guy's,

This is for New Delhi Visa office MR/RPF/PP receivers. Please confirm if you all have being asked to submit the PCC again?

If, yes then I should start the process now only because it takes time over here... I remember earlier it took 2 months to get PCC from passport office in Mumbai. The reason I found is that my passport issued from Delhi & I placed request in Mumbai passport office.

Please share if you have similar experience or somebody has another way out to get PCC faster.

Rgds,Raj.

Hey Raj,

We have been asked to submit fresh PCC's along with the rprf and passports...ours was a month old when we had submitted.....its easier to get it from the RPO provided ur passport is issued from the same RPO.....if not, i guess the commissioner's office would be a good option....

Okay, so it depends upon case to case. Please confirm the fees mentioned above in INR is correct.

How you have done? INR or $?

Raj.
