In ECAS system my status: IN PROCESS

We received your application for permanent residence on August 5, 2010.

Medical results have been received. Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

I don't understand what's going on!!!!!! Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed......any opinion

I don't know about for months. The first guys who received this kind of bug reported it in January... I believe, I could be wrong but I did a quick search (check above) and it seem like that. Therefore, if January was the first time that this mistake has been reported and now we are in Feb, is hardly 4 months. Again, this is just out of curiosity, I guess the main thing is that everybody keeps moving forward.

Ecas from Sept - Jan (4 months) IN PROCESS - Meds have been received

Feb - (10 Days) - ECAS - CIO etc. etc.

Now - Back to IN PROCESS.

So from the bug to the next step 4 months!

If you check the excel - almost all applicants in July, Aug & Sept had the same issue.

Its a new process, they take finger prints & DNA (licking the envelope / strand of hair / skin cells) off your form and run it thru a database, make a comparison with a DNA match closest to the VO and judge your application.

All a part of the new fast track process.

@ fahsan,

i want to know clear information on your DD encash date. As your file was with CIO on 26/11/2010. And as per your post DD encash date is : 08/02/2011. So, it shows it CIO took 73 days . I think this is first time see that CIO took 73 days for DD encashment. Usually they takes 2 week.

Please check & let me know your correct date.

Ours is still "Received by Visa Office" and has been for about 2 weeks now. Details page just says "We received your application on 30 August 2010" with no medicals line at the moment.

I check it like twice per day so will let people know as soon as it changes. The bug is concerning though. I think generally just don't rely on ECAS and instead take 2nd AOR from visa office + medical request as the true state of your application after PER.

Just want to ask for clarification and judgment...

My ecas said

"Your application was reviewed and we started processing on February 17, 2011."

Does this mean that the security and background checks were done already?

As I understand matters all applications received on the same day will be counted towards the cap if the cap wasn't reached at the start of the day. Fairly sure I read something official from cic about this, but unsure where! Otherwise this would unfairly penalise applicants whose couriers made their delivery later in the day than other couriers. This means that technically the cap can go over 1000 by a few.

So I think the cap must have been filled by the end of 27th October.

Just a wild guess - r the VO's picking up files and sending 2nd AOR or med request based on the NOC in demand; else how would anyone explain same VO issuing 2nd AOR to an applicant who recd PER at a later date than the earlier ones

This is interesting because you are the second 1122 applicant recently whose application reached CIC in November and have reported that your BD has been cashed. We've had users whose application was received 28th October+ and been told the cap was already full, and have had their applications returned.

The reply you've got is usually just a bog standard reply for applicants that are awaiting eligibility review.

How and why November applicants can have made it into the cap, when some October applicants have been rejected due to cap being filled, I have no idea.
