Could I get a deportation order just by applying again to restore my visitor status?
My visitor visa hasn't even run out so why would they be so harsh?
I am sorry I am confused, I am guessing they will be harsh because they already said no and I have been here for a year...correct?

A straight deportation order is unlikely. However, there are three kinds of removal orders. In order of increasing severity:

1. Departure Order - they give you 30 days to leave. If you don't leave in 30 days, it becomes a Deportation Order.
2. Exclusion Order - You are usually told to leave immediately (on a specific date) and you are banned from Canada for one year. If you do not obey, it becomes a Deportation Order.
3. Deportation Order - the most serious. You are banned for life.

Basically, you really really do not want to be issued a Deportation Order. Any form of removal order will be an issue for future visas for Canada and most other countries.
