Application for my wife who is an American Citizen..

Can we submit the entire application without the FBI clearance and send the FBI clearance once we receive it ?

Maybe include a letter advising CIC that we are awaiting results , and give them proof that we sent the fingerprints ( tracker # , receipt)

What do you guys think ? The wait is almost 3 months for FBI clearance !

I am also an american citizen and I didnt include it with my initial package, I included a letter stating when I sent the fingerprints and explaining the extended wait times for the FBI, and that I would send it as soon as I received it, I got AOR in november and sent my police check in december with my application number and uci and had no problems. I applied inland and im assuming your applying outland so im not sure if that makes a difference. There is always a slight chance of it being returned based on being incomplete but many people have been okay doing what I did.

Shouldn't be problem. CIC knows FBI clearance takes forever these days. Just write an explanation letter and send the FBI clearance once available.

It's been more than three months for me and my credit card hasn't even been charged. I think it's looking like it's more like four months to get FBI clearance. I sent in my application without it and a note saying when I sent it in and it's been fine so far.

Thanks for the reply guys

4 months !! wow that's unacceptable ..

I'm going to start my application then , we are doing an outland application.

Cheers

I also didn't include mine. I think they realize the delay. 4 months is soooo long.

For us, it was just over 3 months. Sent the request on July 22 and they mailed the clearance on October 27.

Wow my hubbys cleared in a week in July!
