If they issued you AOR no refund because they did process your applicaction during first stage. The AOR is the proof that application was processed, that is why you received it. Sorry.

You paid your application fees, those are paid for processing at CIC which was completed and thus, you received AOR for second stage at CHC.

The second payment is for "right of permanent resident fee", and this payment you can get refund at CHC (if you already paid it in advance at CIC) if you withdraw your application before it begins "in process" stage at CHC or if your aplication is rejected before entering the "in process" stage. You can get refund for "RPRF" , the application fees are not refundable because your application was processed at CIC.

Hi,

A year ago I applied for immigration under the FSW category. I am already employed in Canada and hold a work permit.
On Nov. 5, I received a letter from Buffalo, US stating that my file has been positively reviewed and that I have 60 days to proceed with the medical and pay the fee.

However, this year it became clear to me that my current job is a total waste of time and energy. At the end of the summer I felt that Canada is not such a good idea after all and decided to look for a job in Europe.

While waiting to hear back from the places I sent applications to, I received the letter from Buffalo. I decided to proceed with the application for Canadian residence, not knowing how long is it going to take to get a job in Europe. I've done the medical and got the money order for the Right of permanent residence fee.

Now I am in a situation that many people can only dream about: Last week I have got a job offer from Germany. The germans want me to start in February. I said 'yes' to the offer and I said yes, I can start in February.

What shall I do with my application for Canadian residence? Can I go on with it, even if I am about to quit my Canadian employer and leave the country?
I can't tell the german company that offered me the job that I would like to postpone the starting date, because I don't know how long it is going to take to get the visa (3-4 months, I assume).
I am ready to give it up all and leave Canada but I thought I should ask you for advice before I send a letter and withdraw my application.
