application withdraw process

i applied in Aug 2008 from pakistan and still my case is in initial process so i want to withdraw that case and will apply to CIO directly in fast track.
i have already emailed islamabad-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca to withdraw my application however no response from last one week.
can i apply under new process now or i should wait for their response?
or there is any other process to withdraw my application?
please suggest way forward

To withdraw your application, you will have to write a letter, date and sign it and fax it to them. In my case I sent an email and they replied and asked me to send a signed fax. My visa office was Buffalo but I believe it a standard procedure at all visa offices. Good Luck!!!

if u have submitted full application and ur NOC code is among 38 occupations list, u should wait. i have came to know that for 2008 cases decision would be with effect from Feb. 2010.

no, at that time i mentioned something else and it is not in 38 occupation list.
that is the reason i want to withdraw it and reapply in fast track.
is there anyway i apply without waiting for my withdraw process or i should wait for that?
as i am withdrawing it do i need to mention on my application form that i have already applied?

if ur NOC is not among 38 occupations, there is no chance that they will approve ur case for further processing.

withdrawing process takes some time, so it is better to re-apply parallely , in your new application u need to mention about ur earlier case. but take care about changing of NOC code about ur earlier experience, how will u justify about changing of NOC code for experience that was mentioned in ur previous application.

in fact when i applied i wasnt been able to look for NOC code structure which is presently there.
however i wrote IT management information system which is the same in my current scenario but at that time its NOC code was different.
i read in some of the posts that we cannot apply in two cases at one time. we have to first withdraw it and only then we can apply.
is there any case which was processed in parallel or i should go with my new case and forget about old one.

as far i understand by interacting with several members in this forum, reapplying without withdrawing earlier application is no problem. still i would say, ask for seniors members to comment upon.
why don't u consult some immigration advisor to come out of this dilemma.
