Hi there,

I want to sent off our application...
My partner and I are common-law, he's Canadian, I'm German and we're going to apply outland just because its quicker etc.
We do live together, however I'm at home at in Germany at the moment to write some exams.
My flight back to Canada is booked for September 30.

The big question...where do I sent the application to?
I'm thinking Mississauga... Is that right?

Also, which one in Mississauga?
On the cic website I found:

1. CBC Mississauga, p.o. box 3000 station a, Mississauga Ontario, L5A4N6….....There you're supposed to sent spouse, common law or conjugal partner and dependent children application...

2. CBC Mississauga, p.o. Box 5040 station b, Mississauga L5A 3A4.....… there you're supposed to send spouse and common law application (currently living in Canada)...

Which one would be the right address for me when I'm usually living in Canada and intend to return on September 30?

Thanks for your help! :)

it's important to follow the directions specified in the country specific guides. i suspect you want to send it to the first address. the second address sounds like that is for INLAND Applications, which you are not applying for.

For Outland you have to send to the first address.

However, if you are going to send it by courier, you need to send it to the Robert Spec address. The PO box is only if you send it through regular Canada Post mail.

You send all 3 parts of your application (sponsor package, applicant package and proof of relationship) to Mississauga. Where you are physically living doesn't matter, what matters is what kind of application you are filing - outland or inland. Since you're filing outland you would use #1 for regular/registered mail or if you're using a courier service you need to use:

2 Robert Speck Parkway,
Suite 300
Mississauga, ON
L4Z 1H8

I would suggest noting that yours is a outland application on the package somewhere. Some people on the forum have had some issues with their app being sent back as missing inland forms when it was an outland application.

Great thanks...

One last question...I wasn't gonna use a courier but registered mail with reply advice...

Would I still use the "courier" address or just the normal address listed under #1?

Thanks!!!

regular mail can go to the address above, even if it's registered or requires a signature. it's the courier companies who do not deliver to po boxes.
