Application was to be processed in Mississauga... Moved to LVO

Hoping someone else has had a similar experience.

We received an email saying our application would be staying in Mississauga to be processed, this was November 6th 2017. Our background check changed to in process on December 22nd 2017. February 3rd 2018 in ecas it changed to in process. February 6th 2018 we received an email saying our application is being forwarded to London VO to be processed.

What could be going on? What is our AOR2? Have they not actually started processing our application? Is there a possible issue with our application for them to move it?

Don't worry. I had the same scenario only our visa office was Vienna. First we got the email from Mississauga about being processed there. Then we received an email saying that our app is transferred to Vienna office for further processing. Soon after that we got PPR. Keep an eye on ecas as you can get Decision made any time soon. And PPR after that

Well our application was sent in March 2017...and only in December 2017 we saw real movement (also got an email of transferring to Vienna) - everything went on lightning speed. But as I can see for some reason January, February, March and maybe April (2017) applications were stuck for many months without movement. My guess is that they didnt figure out how to process them as the procedures were changed. But after they figured that out everything seems to be fast. So our timeline is not a reference point because of that But the fact that yours is processed in Mississauga means that your case is straightforward.

Hi! We have a very similar situation actually. Except we were transferred to the Los Angeles VO (as my boyfriend is a US citizen). Our dates are almost exactly the same, we were being fully processed in Mississauga as well and our background check started mid December too. ECAS changed to in progress some time at the beginning of February. It doesn't seem like good news typically when being transferred to the Los Angeles VO.. we haven't had any movement since then though. Hoping for good news for you and for us as well!! Hoping it's really a good thing and we are almost done!

I don’t think we will hear anything anytime soon, since our applications have already went in process.
I wonder if the new visa offices will email us when they receive them.
Have you ordered notes? Or have you bothered trying to call them to see if they can give you a reason why they transferred?
I’m tempted to see if they can give us a reason. However I don’t really want to wait on the phone for an hour!

I did order notes a few weeks ago now, they should be here by February 22nd. I did order them before the file got transferred though, so I'm not sure what it will say on there. And I haven't tried to call for the same reason haha! And the fact that they are apparently useless on the phone, not sure it's worth wasting my time at this point!

Yeah we ordered notes the same day then lol. Will order some again if they don't say anything. So I did call them this morning and happened to get through... I was in shock. Wasn't that helpful at all. He advised me lol... that visa exempt countries start the off the process in Mississauga and if the couple lives apart they are then sent to the home country of the PA.

That doesn't make sense because my boyfriend is currently in Canada with me and we were transferred to LA... Don't understand how they can say something like that when it's not true!! So frustrating
