Hi,

In the IMM1334 sponsor eligibility form question 3 it says:
Are you sponsoring a member of family class or a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class?

It also says if you answer "No" to this question you are ineligible to sponsor.

We want to submit an outland application. How do we answer this question?

Thanks and best of luck with your applications! :)

Who are you sponsoring? Legal spouse or common-law? Does not matter whether you apply inland or Outland. It's basically asking who you are sponsoring and how you're connected. If it is common law, you must have resided together for the period of 12 mins PRIOR to applying inland/Outland and have proof of cohabitation.

Does this answer your question? Hope so. Good luck!

Note the "OR" - outland OR inland.

I am the one being sponsored as a common-law partner but we want to do outland. I still don't get the "OR"

family class OR spouse or common-law partner in canada

I suppose this means there are 2 categories: 1. family class 2. spouse/common-law partner in canada.

So I suppose spouse/common-law partner outside canada is under category 1?

Yes, outland is 1.

I really would like to know why they still haven't changed the category stream names to actually make sense. I assume because they want people to apply inland.

Match the colours in my post.

Why do you think they want people to apply inland now?
