Application to Extend Visa (I)

We are applying Outland. I am Irish.
1.5 years living together here in Canada.
I left early August to Ireland for a wedding (for a week).
I/O at return issued a VR date to mid Oct. (I had a return flight booked).
- Naturally we are submitting an App to Extend for me.

Reading through the manual, for the App. to Ext., Ive come to this list of initial Questions:

Q1. Full details of why you want to stay longer
Is it ok to say the exact truth? ie that I wish to remain here with the GF until the PR is completed.
If not, then why, and what could I say instead?

Q4. Evidence of how you will support yourself or be supported in Canada and how you will pay for transportation to leave Canada, such as:
•Guarantor’s letter;
•Bank statement indicating name of account holder and account number; or
•Details of how you intend to leave Canada including the date, time and type of transportation.
She will support me, and I have some savings.
I have no intention of leaving Canada - I wish to stay until my PR is applied.
I do have a flight booked for mid October, but intend to change that date to c.6 months forward (ie.April 2011) as soon as I have this application submitted.

How should i answer/approach the above questions?

I think your fine except the part about not intending to leave Canada. You can (at their discretion) stay in Canada while the application is processing and apply to extend your status if you need to. Say that you will leave if asked or if your status isn't extended. Your return ticket is a good thing to have.

I'll tell you exactly what we did. Reason for staying in Canada? My boyfriend wrote we had application sumitted on xxxxx and he would like to stay in Canada with his partner while the application is being processed. Thats it. We asked how he would support himself he ticked a couple boxes and explained we both had savings and I wrote a letter stating my support for him in the need arose. I mentioned I had a very stable job of xxxx years. We included a printout of both our bank accounts balances.

It doesn't ask you would pay to get home or how would you so we didn't even address that topic. Just answered what they asked.

They gave him until next April and we'd asked for the year. I say be straight and to the point.
