We applied last year, and after several back and forth and return application we decided to withdraw our application and start anew this year. Went over all our documents with Multi -cultural associations and even called CIC to run through all the documents. Here's the timeline:
Received application: June 9, 2014
Acknowledgement receipt: July 31, 2014
Notice for exam: Sep. 2, 2014
Exam Date: Oct. 27, 2014 (passed exam)
Waiting for oath-taking date.
What I've learned from this is not to rush the application. Make sure you comply all the documents and get a third party to review like Multi-cultural associations. It won't cost you a thing and good to have a fresh set of eyes.
