Application Submitted in 2018

Hi everyone, I am new here and this is my first post, I actually need help..
my application got received from CIC in 15 Jan 2018 and after I send my medical exam and sched A they sent my application to (London visa office) on 10th of April and then I've no reply until now..
can anyone tell me what is going on and what is the average time for us to be contacted by them ? and what is the further steps we will need ?

It’s normal to take this long!! Don’t worry they will contact you ONLY when they need something from you.
During the upcoming months you will receive:
1-background check started
2- decision made letter
3- pre arrival instructions
4- passpt requeste

No problem
No one can answer your question because it’s all depends on your case and which visa office. If you contact the CIC they will ask you if it’s been more than 1 year? If you say no they will say you shouldn’t be concerned and just wait.
In the other hand we all are hoping for 3-4 months after it’s been send to a visa office but might take longer. Wish you the best
