I apologize in case it is a repeating question.

I have sent initial application to CIO and approved to submit application with documents.

Do I expect to see any application status at this stage?

Why are you worrying about the application status? Right now, if I were you, I would be worrying about gathering the required documents. Right now you are at a very infact stage of the application. You should search around forums for help regarding documentation. Once you send your documents the local CHC office will send you AOR. It will contain the Immigration File number. Use it to check your application status.

when you receive the 1st AOR from the CIO NS, you can use the Immigration file number & your status should be:

APPLICATION RECEIVED
Application Received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)
We have received your application. After checking for completeness, a file has been created and the information from the application form was entered.


We received your application for permanent residence on XXXXXX


Centralized Intake Office Sydney (CIO-S) ELIGIBILITY REVIEW COMPLETE
Centralized Intake Office Sydney (CIO-S) - Eligibility Review Complete
The review at the CIO-Sydney has been completed. A letter with additional information has been mailed.
