Application status update on CIC website

I have submitted my application in June to Buffalo. However, the application status in the CIC website still shows the old one - submitted to Nova scotic, review completed etc...

Any idea if they would update the status as received docs in Buffalo etc... how soon would they update the status or review the docs?

if it is "Visa Office Eligibility Review Complete" then I am afraid it could be rejection.

It reads - Centralized Intake Office Sydney (CIO-S) Eligibility Review Complete - This is the most initial application that was accepted and I was sent a letter to send the documents. The Visa office hasn't updated anything.

Do anyone know when do they actually start updating? And what would be their messages and what they mean?

In terms of timing, the Buffalo Visa Office web site says

Permanent Residents

You will be sent a letter showing your file number and outlining the next steps in processing within 20 weeks of the date of your application's receipt at this office.

Please do not contact us during this period - except to notify us if there is a change in your mailing address or if you decide to withdraw your application.

You need to give ur timeline when u submitted full docs to visa office and did u get a new file number.

Shibuya - I didn't get a new file number... it is the one I had when when application was sent to Nova scotia. May be I have to check with Attorney to find out if they have new file number. By the way the application was submitted on Jun 20

I am writing to inform you that i am also in the same situation like you. I sent my full application last year and till today it is still showing the information from NOVA SCOTIA.
So it is still too early to worry, you have to be patient and see what happens. In my case i only send the visa office an e.mail to find out about my file. All is going smoothly with my application.
