AOA,

I am a Pakistani citizen having Pakistani passport. Currently I am working in MUSCAT, OMAN. I am having valid work visa for OMAN
I have got admission in M.Eng at Windsor University. I wanted to apply for study permit.

Since OMAN does not have any Canadian High Commisstion to entertain study permit application. For that purpose I have to apply at Abu Dhabi. I was confused on one of the question in the application form which is

Country where applying: Same as current country of residence (Yes/No)

Please guide me in the light of above status of mine what should I select. As OMAN dont have any CHC and I have to apply at Abu Dhabi

Thanks

Masood. Same thing happened with me, I am living in Japan but the visa section is shifted to Phillipines, so I had to send the documents via courrier to Philipines.
I consulted with some experts and they said to write YES in the particular section you are asking for. So I would suggest to write YES. This yes or No will have no effect as human errors are kept in mind when checking the application.

P.S they have asked for your country of residence too, they ll know at once about the situation, so its OK!

in my opinion u have to write No. because by writing NO means u r not filling ur case in oman (which is ur case)

Talha, as i know that all 6 countries ( KSA,yemen, oman, behrai, qatar, kuwait) are handled by UAE ,and if i write NO so what should i answer for below question: The name of the country where you are applying from,
Your immigration status in that country by choosing one of the following:
Citizen
Permanent resident
Visitor
Worker
Student
Other
Protected Person
Refugee Claimant

You dont live in UAE. So you dont have any status in UAE. If you write YES then you will not be filling the column below. Its common sense. And p.s fill your form via Adobe reader

If he have to write Oman in that column then it means he is applying from country of residence
