Visa filed: 28th june 2012 still waiting for medical..

how much times or days or months CHC takes for university applicants?
Experts please tell me should I get the medical call??? My classes are starting from 5th of sept 2012, and still no update from CHC, now what to do? Should I deffer?

The timeline varies from case to case, you have not received medical yet so you have to defer............

Got my visa today after almost 32 weeks , visa stamped on 29 Aug.

I'm afraid that you will have to defer your admission to the January session, as it usually takes 1 month after the medical call to issue a visa. Unfortunately, you have not been asked to get your medical done, so there is hardly any chance of joining for the fall semester

First ask your university that how much late can you join classes , I am sure they will not give you extension for more than 10 to 15 days. On the other hand if you receive medical in the next week then it will take almost one month after medical to get visa.
So in my opinion You should start the deferral process from the next week , and when CHC ask for updated LOA you will submit it to them............

i think you should wait for 1-2 weeks, but in the meanwhile ask the university about the procedure to make a deferral request.

Correct me if I'm wrong. But you'll only need a transit visa if you plan to leave the airport/transit lounge.

as far as I know from agents we Pakistani nationals do require a transit visa to land in USA. even though we don't go out of airport.
