Debit card wud work for online application? I mean is it necessary to have a credit card

Debit card ,mostly, works on those sites where they require CVV number.

Hi guys, im new to this forum and would appreciate ur help. My info is

UNIV application - McMaster university (PhD in Electrical Engineering)
Applied - June 13th
Call for Medical - July 9th
Took medical and returned pp - July 13th

Since then I havent received any news. I need to report to the dept by sept 5th. I emailed CHC islamabad about this and received this response on Aug 6th :

"In response to your email, please be informed that this application is in process, and that currently background checks are being conducted. If any further information is required you will be contacted. In the meantime, please wait patiently while the application is processed."


Any comments on if you think I can get the visa in time?

Yes, you application is in the final stage of evaluation. You are surely getting it after the eid. You will make it to your classes.

but then my uni will not accept me ! bcs they would have issued me letter for jan intake,but anyways I have e-mailed my uni regarding this issue and hope they could come up with any solution

Yes wait until the start of September. I am sure you will be getting visa soon.

i could have but i had to return to pak right after completing my degree for personal reasons. now i hav the opportunity to go again, inshaAllah if i get the visa

If you hadn't applied for PGWP at that time so you can have it after you PhD. Secondly, I don't think VO will have any objection on your home ties because you have returned home after completing your MS, which is very healthy for you visa this time.

I know the feelings, no matter what other say you feel anxious until you get your visa. Your case is strong, and will be receiving your visa soon. Do update us when you receive it.

Yes, unmarried aunt can support you. But why don't you transfer it to your account for sometime.

Yes ill try to have it in my account but if i cudnt then 20 lacs on father and 10-15 lacs from aunt wud be satisfactory or not?

My total fees is 5718$ for a year and add to it 15000$ living nd other costs.
