No, CHC must have a pre-approved Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for running all their checks and It is hard to imagine the existence of any such procedure of going through someone's personal mail and facebook account just for issuing a single visa. The security agencies do it but they also require an approval for that and this is done in case of threats to national security.

Totally agreed with you on this privacy act kind of things.

guys I have got an email form CHc today. they are asking for an updated LOA whereas my LOA is valid till jan 2013. they also want the start date for fall semester should be mentioned on it.
lets see what happens but one thing for sure my visa wont come in at least next 2 weeks wait is over now

hey guys, i have my med tomo at 10:30, anyone know how long the whole procedure takes???... and till what time does Gerry accept passport returns... also, how many days will CHC take to reply!!!

medical take 1-1/2 hours. and you submit your passport 9-12

they take your blood for HIV.they take x-ray for TB.and urin test

It should not take more than 2 hours.

1. When you go to the doctor he will examine your body for operations, your eye sight, your weight and blood pressure.
2. You will be sent by this doctor to the Laboratory for Blood test (for checking HIV) and Urine test.
3. Your chest Xray (for TB) will also be done.
4. The test results will be gathered, and posted by the physician and you won't have to do anything by yourself.

I gave it in Karachi, it was hardly a 1-1.5 hr procedure....but depends on the rush and you should have all complete docs!

It takes max two hours .......CHC takes 25 to 30 days after medical...........
