Hi, Faisal here, I have applied for the student visa in 27th January for a course in BTH education group. The course start date is 5th March,2012.

Still waiting for any call from ISLAMABAD. Can any one let me know how long I have to wait.

no one can tell you with 100% accuracy .....In my opinion keep ur hopes, you will get somethings by the end of this month.

only update is I got my file number via email.
one interisting thing........ today I went to gerrys office sialkot branch. I asked him about my file delivery he said accoring to our record its delivered. I told him it has been almost four months I didnt get any response he said I have a case 12-13 months old. I was shocked a bit I asked is it study permit he said yes its study permit and chc has not replied him more then a year now.

If the starting of your course was 5th March 2012, wouldn't you ask your college/university for deferral? Because you can't be given Study permit on the submitted LOA. CHC should have informed you regarding deferral.

well I think the official was exaggerating he said one year because he wanted me to go out not to ask him anything further....

Well, this is a very unprofessional approach. CHC should at least give a response with in a certain time limit. I hope k CHC mein loadshedding na horhi ho

Dear Applicant

According to the Regional Manager for South Asia who recently met with the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi, graduates from the UK and Australian schools are, as a rule, being granted Study Visa’s. The rationale is based on the immigration policy changes that have been made in both countries that call’s into serious question if the applicant is a “genuine student”. As a result of this visit, we no longer process applications for graduates from these two countries for Centennial College.
